Your archetype
The Prisoner
You are not your father's worst patterns. You are a man who can choose differently β right now.
Watch this first
Sixty seconds. Watch this before you read on.
The pattern
The pattern
The shame you carry is not evidence of who you are. It is evidence of what you inherited. The pattern is real. The transmission is real. And the interruption is also real β the moment you see it clearly and choose something different. That moment is available to you right now.
What your son is learning from this pattern
“Don't become like Dad.”
Your FRM protocol focus
All five phases β start with RESETβ’
You break the pattern by seeing it clearly and responding differently. One moment at a time.
Practice one
Name the pattern
This week, name one inherited pattern out loud, to yourself, privately. βI go quiet when things get hard. That's what my father did.β You do not have to change it yet. You have to see it clearly. Seeing it is the first break in the chain.
Practice two
One repair
Think of one moment this week where you fell short with your son. Repair it within 24 hours. Not a big conversation. One sentence: βI got that wrong. I'm sorry. I'm working on it.β The repair is the evidence. It is more powerful than the original moment.
Reflection
What has shame told you that you cannot change? What would it mean to your son β in 20 years β if you proved that story wrong?
Your draft Father Code
Your draft Father Code
“The pattern ends with me. I repair when I fall short. My son is worth the work.”
In the program you build the full version, read aloud to a room of men who hold you to it.
Your free guide is on its way
The Father’s Reset Kit
Seven days to stop reacting and start leading.
Your RISE Guide, built for exactly the pattern you just read — plus the Father’s Reset Kit: five more guides for the whole house. Two of them are not for you; one is for your son, one is for the woman who has been holding everything together. Hand them over and say nothing else.
If you want to go further
You can practice this alone. Some fathers decide they no longer want to.
Over the next seven mornings I will send you one short letter a day — practical work for exactly this pattern. Nothing to buy. Start there.
