ARC for Young Women
Your part
Hi. This is the part that's yours.
Someone has held a place for you in ARC. What happens next is your decision, and this page is here so you can make it with the actual information rather than a general idea.
Read it through. There's a question at the end where you say yes or no, and the choice is fully yours.
What is ARC
Eight weeks. Eight young women. One seventy-five-minute call each week, on video, with me.
It's a group where you practice hearing yourself when other people's opinions and expectations get loud. Noticing a pattern while you're in it. Telling the difference between a feeling and an instruction. Saying what you actually think and living with having said it.
What ARC isn't
It isn't therapy, counseling, or medical care, and I'm not a licensed therapist or doctor. It isn't a substitute for any of those.
It won't make you certain about your future. That isn't the goal.
It isn't a place where you're required to talk about anything you'd rather not.
How privacy works
What you share stays in the group. Everyone agrees not to repeat what another person says, record sessions, take screenshots, or share someone else's story outside the room.
I can't guarantee it absolutely. I take it seriously and I enforce it, but this is a group of people, and I won't promise you something I can't fully control. Bear that in mind when you decide what to share.
You don't have to disclose anything. You can keep an example general, leave names out, or pass entirely. Nobody has to prove they belong here by telling a hard story.
Your parent won't get reports. What you say in a session, write in your reflections, or put in the questions at the end is not routinely shared with a parent or guardian, including one who paid.
Sessions are recorded and available only to your cohort for private replay for twelve months. Parents don't get access. You agree not to record sessions yourself, take screenshots, or download or share replays.
There's one limit. If I reasonably believe you or someone else may be in significant danger, or that abuse, neglect, or exploitation may be happening, I may need to involve a parent or guardian, an emergency contact, a professional, an emergency service, or an appropriate authority. I may be legally required to.
If that happens, wherever it's safe and appropriate, I'll tell you first: what concerns me, what I think needs to happen, and who may need to be involved. I'll share only what's necessary. I'd rather you know this now than find it out in the moment.
What's expected of you
Nothing perfect. But honestly:
- Come to the sessions you can. You'll get the most out of the program that way. Tell me if you can't.
- Keep what other people share to yourself.
- Don't record, screenshot, or share replays.
- Pass when you want to. Say something when you want to.
