Your archetype

The Provider

You are there — but you are not present.

Watch this first

Sixty seconds. Watch this before you read on.

The pattern

The pattern

You have given your son everything he needs, except the one thing that actually forms him: your emotional presence. He knows you love him. He experiences that love as resources, not relationship. He does not come to you with his real life because he has learned that is not what you are for.

What your son is learning from this pattern

“Love is transactional.”

Your FRM protocol focus

Lead Others — RELATE

Connection, not provision, becomes the primary currency of your love.

Practice one

Phone away

Once a day this week, phone in another room. Not face down. In another room. Sit with your son. No agenda, no productivity, no fixing. Let him lead the conversation. Ask: what's been good this week? What's been hard? Then listen. Do not solve. Do not advise. Receive.

Practice two

The attunement minute

Before any interaction with your son, take 60 seconds to observe him without an agenda. What is he carrying today? What does his body language tell you? You do not have to fix it. You have to see it.

Reflection

What do you use provision to avoid? Name the emotional moment this week that you addressed by doing something instead of being something.

Your draft Father Code

Your draft Father Code

“I put down what I am doing when he talks to me. I give him my attention, not my accomplishments.”

In the program you build the full version, read aloud to a room of men who hold you to it.

The Father’s Reset Kit

Seven days to stop reacting and start leading.

Your RELATE Guide, built for exactly the pattern you just read — plus the Father’s Reset Kit: five more guides for the whole house. Two of them are not for you; one is for your son, one is for the woman who has been holding everything together. Hand them over and say nothing else.

Send Me the Reset Kit

If you want to go further

You can practice this alone. Some fathers decide they no longer want to.

Over the next seven mornings I will send you one short letter a day — practical work for exactly this pattern. Nothing to buy. Start there.
